Season
A warm, dry spring followed by a hot summer made for the earliest budburst and harvest on record for the Great Southern. While the conditions challenged many varieties, Grenache thrived in the heat, developing intensity and perfume without losing balance.

Vineyard
Sourced from an elevated, north-facing site with rows running south to north. The mineral soils and exposure create a wine of purity, tension, and refined structure. The site’s elevation tempers ripeness, allowing Grenache to express both brightness and depth in equal measure.

Vinification
Low yields and an early pick - three weeks ahead of average, preserved vibrancy, colour, and natural acidity. Fermented traditionally in small batches with gentle plunging, the wine was pressed to a single large-format French oak foudrè for 20 months’ maturation on lees. This slow élevage built seamless texture and savoury finesse.

Style
Elegant and finely structured, with aromas of raspberry and violet over a mineral, almost ferrous thread. The palate is pure and poised, balancing ripe fruit with energy and restraint — everything a modern Great Southern Grenache should be.

Cellar
Expressive in youth but built to age. Enjoy now or cellar carefully for up to 15 years.
